Mountain Girl Soap is always handmade fresh, in small batches, completely from scratch, using the traditional cold process method. Pre-made bases and melt & pour mixes are never used. High quality vegetable oils are chosen to yield soap high in glycerin and rich in essential fatty acids. In keeping with my goal of social and ethical responsibility, my Palm oil supplier is a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), an organization that supports sustainable palm oil production. Dried herbs, flowers, and plant materials are added for their beneficial skin care properties and for exfoliation. Organic and wild harvested plant ingredients are used as much as possible. I prefer to let the earth’s offerings color my soaps naturally and safely. The addition of plant materials and minerals produces muted earth tones, some quiet and subdued, and some vibrant. My soaps are scented with high quality therapeutic essential oils and fragrances. Click here to see a list of ingredients.

Mountain Girl Soap never contains chemical preservatives, synthetic pigments, dyes, detergents, fillers, solidifiers, solvents, synthetic softeners, nor anti-caking agents. Mountain Girl Soap never contains animal-derived ingredients, animal by-products, nor ingredients tested on animals. No beeswax, egg, emu oil, fish oil, honey, lanolin, lard, milk, suet or tallow. Because every batch is hand stirred, hand cut, and hand wrapped, each bar is characteristically unique and will vary slightly in shape, size and weight. The charm of my soaps is that they are left natural; no trimming, no polishing. After the curing process, each bar is shrink-wrapped to make certain the cleanest possible product reaches you and to maintain the strength of the fragrance. Each bar is individually labeled with 50% recycled content paper embedded with North American wild flower seed mix.

Because my soap is fresh and does not contain artificial preservatives, chemicals, and hardeners, it is recommended that you protect your soap from direct sunlight, keep it in a cool, dry location, and use it within one year of purchase.
